September Greetings, Saints!
We're in that time (finally!) of cooler nights to accompany the warmer days. Fall falls officially this Monday. While I still mourn the loss of light, I welcome the cooler temps. Have you worn a sweater and slurped a pumpkin spice latte yet? Me neither. But I am looking forward to hot pumpkin donuts at Green Bluff...
THANKS to all who donated to the Life Services baby bottle drive. You gave $1578!
What's Goin' On...
*The Youth Hangout, grades 8-12, happens tomorrow at the church from 1-4pm. Games, fellowship, snacks & Bible study. Bring a friend!
*This Saturday, the Whitmire's are hosting a Feast of Trumpets Harvest Party at their place, 6pm. Bring a dessert (no dinner, just desserts) and chairs. Fun for the whole family, See Justin or Kammi for directions.
*This Sunday is the beginning of sign-ups for the Men's Retreat up at Riverview Bible Camp November 7-9. Once again, we're having Fellowship Church in Spokane join us. Food, fun, activities (corn hole!) and learning.
*Women's Bible Study has begun on Wednesdays at 9:30. Pick up a book in the office and join the women...
*Awana has begun for elementary kids and Jr-Sr High School cranks up this coming Monday!
*A week from today, Sept 26 from 10:50m to 11:50 is Grandparent's Day at Chattaroy Elementary. Sign up in the fellowship hall to be a substitute grandparent for kids who won't have one there. Lunch is included; see Jack for details.
*If you parents have a child struggling with math (like I did as a kid), see Mel. He's a retired Mead School District math teacher with a love for kids and math. He'd love to help tutor.
*COOKIES! Bake & Bring.
This Sunday...
Something for the whole family at 9: Story Hour, Ambassadors For Christ and Ace. In the service we'll worship, pray and hear from Revelation on the topic of spiritual warfare. Revelation has a unique way of pulling back the curtain on the unseen realm. Right after the service, we'll hear from those three who will be baptized that day... AND if you're interested in sharing opinion or asking questions about the pews and chairs, come on up front at the end of the service.
See you Sunday?
Pastor Rob
p.s. Meanderings: (I've changed from 'deep thots' because of a slang use of 'thot' that I didn't know about until recently).
"Why is 'abbreviation' such a long word?"
