Precipitation Greetings, People!

I'm not sure at what elevation you reside, so whether it's rain or snow, it's still precipitation. Looks like we're gonna get a lot of it this year. Apparently, it's a La Niña winter, which I think means more precipitation. Don't put your boats away yet. And sharpen your snow shovels!

Tis the season for lots of activities! Buckle up...

What's Goin' On...

*Tonight is the December Hymn Sing and Prayer time at the church, 6:30pm. Snacks will follow.

*Tomorrow is the Women's Christmas Brunch at the church, 10:30 to 12:30. Enjoy that, ladies!

*Next Sunday, Dec 14, is the KidZone Christmas Pageant! Tell your relatives and put it on the calendar.

*December 21, there will be a Christmas Concert & singalong at Spokane First Nazarene. There'll be the theatre organ with the big pipes leading the way. The organist is very accomplished. 6pm at 9004 N Country Homes Blvd.

*Invite someone to our Christmas Eve candle lighting service at either 3:30 or 5pm.

*Flag Football is being planned for Dec 26, 2pm, at Holmberg Park in north Spokane. All ages welcome! Bring flags or strips of cloth, footballs and hot chocolate. Plan ahead: work off all those Christmas cookies!

Great Opportunity: Donate to our Advent Offering and help supply clean water wells in India, placed and supervised by a great ministry there. They'll represent the Lord. $2000 bores a well, and that's a deal. We will also be helping to provide Megavoice solar powered Bible readers for a new language in Papua New Guinea. The tribe is mostly illiterate, so having the Bible read in their own language (and not having to plug it in) is fantastic. Each reader costs $35. This will assist Tyndale Bible Translators in their work in PNG. Write checks to CCC and put 'advent offering' in the memo line. You've donated $4650 so far!! Way to go, Church!

This Sunday...

Story Hour down, Ambassadors for Christ up and Ace in the middle, all at 9. Ace continues that great video series, The Engagement Project. In the service, we'll light the next advent candle, sing, pray and hear from Daniel 5, where King Belshazzar messes up royally... and pays for it with his life. AFTER the service we'll have a brief business meeting to vote on pursuing the acre immediately north of the church for future expansion, drain field or parking use.

See you Sunday?
