Greetings from Jason 9-18-26
Greetings Chattaroy Community Church Family, |
I pray that this message finds you well and enjoying the seasonal transition into Fall. As my family has begun a class on the history of Christianity for homeschool, I have been reminded by the author of the book (Justo Gonzalez) that, “The notion that we read the New Testament exactly as the early Christians did, without any weight of tradition coloring our interpretation, is an illusion.” There is great importance to knowing the path of those who have gone before us and how we came to be where we are. When reading scripture and trying to properly understand it, context matters. By looking to the roots of our heritage we can be encouraged, enlightened, cautioned and sometimes shocked by what has taken place over the centuries. However, through it all we see the unfailing consistent presence of God, in action through His people in triumphs and failures throughout history; and He’s still working through you and I, even today. Perhaps someday in the future, someone will be looking back at how God was at work, accomplishing His purposes through a small community church in Chattaroy, Washington. I pray that it is so. |

BE BOLD FOR JESUS… |
There will be a live watch party at Chattaroy Community Church on October 2-3. This will include all sessions streamed live from the Spokane Convention Center event. THIS SUNDAY… |
ACE (Adult Christian Education, Sunday School) and AFC (Ambassadors For Christ, 5th thru 12th grades) will be meeting at 9:00am. Pastor Rick will be continuing his teaching on "The Jesus Series” for the adults in the fellowship hall and AFC will be meeting upstairs. |
