Greetings from Pastor Rob

Greetings, Saints.

Thank God it’s rained! I trust the fire season is over, looking at the forecast. Don’t you always breathe a sigh of relief at the first soaker? It sure has been dry in the woods outside our house. It looks to me as if a number of the plants are distressed due to no moisture (not that I’m a plant expert). I’ve noticed the long lines to get water at the station outside the Whitworth Water building. I’m praying we can fill up the reserves we need. You all know 2 Chronicles 7:14, about God’s people praying, humbling themselves and turning from their wicked ways, right? Are you aware of 2 Chronicles 7:13, right before it? “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people…”

God is saying he might shut up the heavens for some reason. What then? What do we do? Pray. Seek. Repent. Let’s do so.

What’s Goin’ On…

This Sunday…

We’ll worship and pray, per usual. We’ll hear about Human Life of Washington is doing a diaper drive to support kids and young mothers and we’ll hear from the famous love chapter, 1 Corinthians 13. Was that sung to spoken at your wedding? Let me know. We’ll also remember Christ’s death for us in communion.

See you Sunday?
