Near-Thanksgiving Greetings, People.

Do you have your turkey or ham yet? We're less than a week away from that day. I truly am thankful for all the harvest safely gathered in and all we have in this land of abundance. We may be in inflationary times, but we still have more than a lot of the world. We'll enjoy that with family next Thursday. We'll have kids & grandkids coming over to our place. I'll be making a double recipe of gravy. I'll encourage Deb to double down on the dressing. We shall see.

Opportunities to help...

*There's a woman who's about 63 years of age who needs a relatively inexpensive room for the winter. Her name is Susan; she doesn't attend CCC but she is a believer and often comes to our weekly prayer time on Thursday mornings. See me or Joyce L for her number.   AND...

*The Chattaroy Elementary PTO is looking for funds to help families with a Thanksgiving meal, thesauruses for the 3rd grade students and a Sweetheart's dance for the community. If you can assist, send donations to Chattaroy Elementary, 25717 N Yale Rd, Chattaroy, 99003. Q's? cespto@rsdmail.org.

*COOKIES! Our freezer downstairs is bare. If you can bake a dozen or two & bring 'em Sunday, we'd all be appreciative. :-)

What's Goin' On...

*Tomorrow at 10am we're having a Discovery Class to learn more about the church, its history, beliefs and procedures. Join us in the fellowship hall; coffee and donuts will be served.

*This Sunday, those Operation Christmas Child boxes are due. Absolutely! Right after the service they'll be taken away to join all the other boxes on their long journey to children across the globe. Thanks to all who have filled them and prayed for their recipients.

*After the service this Sunday is our annual business meeting. All are welcome but only members may vote. We'll get annual reports, vote on new elders and elder extensions of terms and on the budget. Q&A time as well. So grab a snack and come on back in the sanctuary for this once-a-year event.

*Thanksgiving Thursday, Karen R and others are having a TG meal for single folk. Food's gonna be good! See Karen or Joyce L for details.

*Saturday, Dec 6 from 10:30 to 12:30pm is the Women's Christmas Brunch! Sign up after the service. There's no cost but you could sign up to bring a food item (that's optional). There's also the opportunity to decorate a table. See Laurie J

Sunday, Sunday...

*There's the educational part of our day 9am with Story Hour for kids, Ambassadors for Christ, 5th thru 12th grade AND (ta-da!) in Ace we're starting a brand new video series. Kurt will lead discussion on The Engagement Project. Some of you may remember Del Tackett, who led us thru the Truth Project video series. He's back with the new project. 9am in the fellowship hall.

*Worship in the service will include some thanksgiving hymns (with one of my favorites, Come Ye Thankful People Come). The message is from Daniel 4 in our series.

Don't forget those boxes!

See you Sunday?

Pastor Rob
