June has busted out People!
And I'm enjoying the extended sunlight. You? The only drawback is the light when I want to sleep in a tad in the morning. I've got one of those black eye masks that keeps my eyeballs resting, should I need it. I'm also enjoying taking the dog out in the evening for her final break without the usual flashlight. Small pleasures.
And as I look at the weather forecast, there's more rain than usual. Hallelujah. Are you praying for rain? I believe God is over the weather and will answer prayer. Who says every summer has to be scorching and laden with fire danger? God answers prayer and waits on us to talk to him so we can work together. Prayer Changes Things (and us, too).
What's Goin' On...
*Tonight! The last Sing & Pray for the season happens in the fellowship hall. Come on down... snacks provided.
*Are you interested in a men's Bible study weekday mornings? Talk to Pastor Rob.
*This Sunday is the first VBS Meeting for all you who are helping out. Grab a cookie and come on downstairs after the service for info and questions answered.
*I've received a Wa State "Stop the Income Tax" petition and will have it out in the foyer if you haven't signed it & would like to.
*This Tuesday, June 9, is the Seasoned Citizens group tour of UGM that includes lunch. Arrive at the staff entrance (west side of the building at E 1224 Trent) at 9:45am; tour starts at 10. See Karen R. with any questions.
*July 5 we'll have a river baptism after the service. If you'd like to follow Jesus in this way, talk to Pastor Rob.
This Sunday...
No Ace or Ambassadors! We're on summer break. In the service we'll worship, observe communion and hear from 1 Corinthians 6. THAT means I'll be talking about Sex, parents, as an FYI. The younger ones will be out for KidZone. Plan accordingly.
See you Sunday?
Pastor Rob
