End o' May Shout Out, People!

Once again, time has flown thru another month. Summer is knocking at the door with Thursday's temps. Are you ready? Will you join me in praying for rain? I believe God answers weather prayers. As soon as Elijah saw that cloud as big as a man's hand, he knew the rain was coming. Pray and watch!

Deb & I got away last week for our first camping trip of the season. (Thanks to Kurt for writing the blast and to Jason for preaching).  It was cool & rainy a few days, but we're fine with that. With comfy reclining chairs and temperature control in our trailer, it's more like glamping than camping. We read, fixed a few things, walked the dog, played disc golf and rode our electric bikes. It was a great time at an old favorite, Farragut up between Athol and Bayview.    I trust you've got plans to get away and recreate soon.

Our own Bill & Penni L were recipients of the Northeast Washington Association of School Administrators Community Award. Congrats! Bill & Penni attend all board meetings, show up at numerous events and support bonds & levies. It's a well-deserved award. Thanks for being there

Once again, we are in need of you bakers to go to work making cookies. The homemade ones are the best! Bake up your favorite recipe, keep half and bring the other half to church. As a wise elder once told me, "Flour comes from a plant, sugar comes from a plant and chocolate comes from a plant. A cookie is really a salad".  ;-)

What's Goin' On...

*The Men's Alliance Selkirk Tribe raffle is in full swing. See one of the MA guys (Tom M, Adam M, Chase A...). Tickets are $20, only 250 tix will be sold and the prize is a $1000 gift card to Sharp Shooting Range.

*Saturday, June 13 is the Ladies Garden Lunch at the Shook home, 11am. Bring a type of finger food with you; plates & beverages provided. Ya gotta sign up, tho! Check the table in the fellowship hall after the service.

*The same day, Saturday the 13th, is the Garden Fest at the North County Food Pantry, 11am to 2pm. They're giving away seedlings, seeds & pots AND having a bake sale. They are also looking for you gardening types who like to get dirt under your fingernails with planting, weeding & other dirt work. See Lora Benzinger at the pantry—509-292-2530.

*We're celebrating Baptism in the river on July 5! If you've not baptized and you'd like to follow Jesus in this way, see me.

This Sunday...

It's the last Sunday till fall for Ambassadors and Ace. Join us adults at 9 in the fellowship hall as he finishes up his study on discipline, disassociation and restoration.

In the service, we'll worship, pray and look at 1 Corinthians 6:1-8. Have you ever wanted to sue another believer? Incredibly, that's the topic. I think you'll find the application surprising and unsettling.

See you Sunday?

Pastor Rob
