Salutations, Saints!
Bloomsday has come and gone and the Awana Rummage Sale is next week. Graduation is around the corner. Once again, time flies. Before you know it, we'll be launched into summer and we'll be begging for a few cool days. But not yet! Enjoy May while we have it.
This past Thursday was the National Day of Prayer. Amazingly, NEXT Sunday, May 17, there will be a rededication of our country to God with prayers and worship in DC (and a lot of high officials participating). Organizers are asking churches around the country to join in at the same time, asking God to renew and revive us. We will here at C3. I see God doing things... and I still see a lot to be done. What might you do to pick up your prayer game? Prayer is important enough that I schedule it and ask others to join in where possible. It's easier to pray with others. As always, you can join us for an hour on Mondays from 3-4 and on Thursday mornings from 8 to 9. Or grab a friend or family member and intercede where you can. We need it!
What's Goin' On...
*Tomorrow, May 9 is the clean-up at the Chattaroy Cemetery, corner of Cowgirl and Jim Hill Rd, from 9 to noon. Bring rakes, gloves, weed-whackers, etc. Join fellow cleaners for hotdogs and s'mores afterwards.
*It's Mother's Day Sunday!! Join us after the service downstairs for pastries and coffee to honor moms.
*It's almost here! Bring all that good stuff you can't use to the Awana Rummage Sale starting either next Wednesday evening the 13th or on Thursday the 14th. The sale is on Friday & Saturday the 15th & 16th.
*The Memorial Day Campout is from the 22nd to the 25th; there are maps and a sign-up on the table in the foyer. Please sign up so they have a count. Folks really enjoyed it last year.
*Save the date: Cisco & Leila get married at the Edison Ranch on May 23 at 2pm. Bring a chair and a potluck item that compliments burgers & dogs.
*Don't forget to send your picture to Melissa (office@chattaroycc.com) so we can include it in the directory. It's great to be able to put a name and face together.
This Sunday...
Rick continues the interesting discussion on core orthodoxy in Ace at 9. Just what kind of doctrine is necessary to be a part of the Church worldwide and local? What doctrines are essential and what's peripheral? Come check it out.
In the service we'll worship, pray and hear a message that's not from 1 Corinthians. What's it gonna be? Come on down...
See you Sunday?
Pastor Rob
