Greetings, People loved by God.
I love it when I hear about young people heading off to serve folk in other countries. Our own Jesse S will be in the Dominican Republic from April 3 to the 12th (he's leaving next Friday!). He's going with others thru Students International, and they'll be doing a variety of projects. Primarily, he wants prayer for safe and effective service: put him on your prayer list. He's also collecting supplies to be brought: 80 grit sandpaper, carbon steel wire brushes, paint brushes, heavy work gloves, mechanic's shop towels, safety glasses, rubber mallets, half inch 90 degree PVC pipe elbows and kitchen towels. Talk to Jesse about getting him any of these items prior to his departure.
What's Goin' On...
*Don't forget the 'Million Dollar Dime' fundraiser for Christ Kitchen. They help and train women coming out of abuse, incarceration or addiction, getting them ready to be productive in society. Grab a bag and a brochure in the foyer (on a tall table) and place within whatever you can afford. Bring the bags back by April 19 & place them on Melissa's desk. Bless those women!
*Easter Egg Hunt for kids up to 5th grade next Saturday, April 4, at 10am. Thanks to all who have filled and brought plastic eggs (and for those who will still bring 'em).
*Easter Breakfast next Sunday, 9-9:50! Sign up with your best recipe in the foyer.
*And bless folks after the service with cookies (ok, I suppose a veggie or two as well). Thank you for baking and bringing!
*Senior Forum on cruising; April 7 from 9-11am in the fellowship hall. Donuts and hot drinks will be available.
*Calendarize this: Women's Retreat April 24-26. $100 covers the weekend room & food. Partial scholarships are available.
*New Hope still needs socks & undergarments for men, women and kids (especially. Small & medium sizes) and kitchen items. Drop them at the donation station back by the KidZone Room. Thanks!
This Sunday...
Ambassadors (5th thru 12th grades) upstairs at 9 and Ace (Adult Christian Ed) in the fellowship hall. Rick will once again try to flex his muscles and talk about Masculinity at the same time.
In the service, we will have a Palm Sunday Concert of Prayer with an emphasis on Holy Week leading up to Easter. Come prepared to interact with God.
See you Sunday?
