Almost-Spring Greetings, Saints.
I got a wonderful call from Karen B this week. She had fallen on her shoulder and was unable to use her arm for a while. She reported to me that she thinks we have the most kindest, caring church they've ever been in (and they've been going to church for a while). People have called, stopped in and brought meals. Way to go, Church! Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus for one another.
What's Goin' On...
*TONIGHT! Friday night Sing and Pray at 6:30 at the church. Hymns a focus. Snacks afterwards!
*TOMORROW! The Women's Workshops at the church, starting at 8:30. Lunch is included. $10 covers the whole shebang.
Saturday evening: set your clocks ahead! SPRING ahead one hour****
*March 15 (NEXT Sunday) we'll have a potluck at the church. If your last name starts with A-J, please bring a main dish and a dessert. If K-Z, bring a main dish and a salad. Mmmmmm... comfort food!
*Rick J has prepared an info sheet on cruises; available on the table in the foyer. This is in response to a questionnaire as to the questions or needs of seniors. Check it out.
*The church Talent Show is April 17, Calendarize it and dig out that dusty talent!
This Sunday...
Ambassadors (grades 5-12) meets at 9am upstairs. Ace continues the study on Tough Topics for Tough Times. Rick will pick up the abortion topic again. I'll start a brand new series in the book of 1 Corinthians: 'Wisdom for God's Church'. This Sunday, we'll look at chapter 1:1-9. Paul tells them what's true about them before he starts to bring a little... wisdom.
Oh... did I mention the TIME CHANGE???? :-)
See you Sunday?
Pastor Rob
