Happy... Fall Harvest, people!

Did you think I was going to say Halloween? We don't put up scary decor at the Sheild house but we do hand out candy. I'm not going to be the neighborhood candy Grinch! Candy was one of my all time favorite things as a kid...and I'm still trying to beat the sugar addiction. (I need help...)

Missionary in India Paul W texted me the day after he visited us at C3: "Rob - I'm waiting for my flight to Seattle and am scheduled to leave for India tomorrow morning. I want to express my heartfelt thanks for yours and everyone at Chattaroy's open hearts. It was thrilling to see the interest of so many yesterday. Please convey our heartfelt thanks to everyone." So conveyed, Paul. Thanks for arranging your schedule to be with us!    Their mission is inspiring.

**We know food stamps (EBT) will not be sent on Nov 1 if the government doesn't ok funding. If you've run out of funds and are in need of getting some groceries, please contact the church. And if you can donate to local food banks in Deer Park and Elk, please do so. Thanks.

What's Goin' On...

*THIS SUNDAY AT 2AM, CLOCKS WILL CHANGE!! FALL - BACK!! That means you gain an hour of sleep! Glory...

*There will be a quick meeting Sunday after the service to explain how sign-up and curriculum works for Story Hour and KidZone. For ANYONE interested - including "teenage Helpers" please make your way to the KidZone Room after grabbing a cookie. I PROMISE it will not take a lot of time. If you can't make the meeting, you are not excluded from helping!    Contact Jayne K.

*The Meal Train for Tyana is still ongoing...

*Showers of Blessings is looking for a couple ladies to join their team. See Colleen C.

*As is the last chance to sign up for the Men's Retreat scheduled for NEXT weekend, Nov 7-9.

*Our next Discovery Class is Saturday, Nov 22. Sign up at the table just inside the fellowship hall.

*There will be a Thanksgiving meal at Karen Rice's on Nov 27 at 1pm for singles. Let Joyce L know so they can get a headcount.

This Sunday...

Story Hour (kids cup to 4th grade), Ambassadors for Christ (5th thru 12th grade) and Ace (the rest of us!) all get going at 9am. In Ace, Gary O continues teaching on apologetics and evangelism. In the service, we'll be introduced to another missionary we support, worship, hear from Daniel 2 and celebrate the death of Jesus on our behalf with communion.

See you Sunday?
