Greetings Chattaroy Community Church Family,
Over the past couple of weeks God has been placing the subject of prayer squarely in the center of my studies. With the youth in AFC, our most recent lesson was on prayer, what it is and what it does. In our home group, we have been discussing the prayer life of Nehemiah and his long-term dedication to prayer regarding one particular subject. Then in the sermon series on Daniel, Pastor Rob has highlighted the importance of prayer in Daniel’s life. I don’t believe that these occurrences are merely coincidence, but rather evidence of God working through multiple avenues to gain my attention and direct me closer to Him. Prayer is such an integral part of the Christian life because it changes you, by helping you to recognize your positional relationship to God. As you seek God in prayer, He enables you to see His goodness, grace, glory and purposes; growing your own faith and trust in Him as you see the ways He is working and providing for you. Relationships require two-way communication for them to grow. Prayer is our opportunity to grow our relationship with God, by engaging in conversation with Him. I take great comfort in the fact that the Almighty God, wants to hear from me and has opened a way. I pray you do as well.
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as [we are, yet] without sin. Therefore, let's approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of [our] need.” Hebrews 4:15-16
